I've got several CDs of files related to a mining project and am having
trouble discovering what applications will open them. They were mainly
produced in the 1990's, and the most common extensions are:

MAP
DAT
ID
TAB
NDX
WED
DH2
DH1
SND

Anyone have any idea what would open these files?

TIA

Hallo Michael,
tab extension may be a mapinfo file
dat may be a micromine file
ndx sounds like a index file from drillhole database like paradox.

if you have surpac or datamine you can try to open these files with this
software.
Cheers

I don't have any of those programs....but I'll look for them. I found a free
Viewer from MapInfo already.

Thanks
